Cardiovascular disease takes a leading role in the Western world in the morbidity and mortality of populations. Sudden death is often the first manifestation of this disease. Ventricular fibrillation is the most common mechanism of cardio-respiratory arrest (CRP) of cardiac origin and its only effective treatment is electrical defibrillation.
The probability of survival is all the greater the shorter the time elapsed between fibrillation and defibrillation.
Since rapid defibrillation as an objective is difficult to achieve if performed only by physicians, since CRP occurs
most of the time in a pre-hospital environment, it is recommended that non-medical professionals be trained and authorized to use defibrillators as long as their performance is framed in AED Programs (External Automatic Defibrillation) with qualified medical control and audit.
Only then will it be possible to combine efforts that make defibrillation a means to achieve an ultimate goal of improving survival after cardiac PCR. In this sense, and with the intention of promoting the use of External Automated Defibrillators (AEDs) in public places or in emergency vehicles, this action was organized to train External Automated Defibrillation operators.
Schedule / Schedule:

▪ Chain of Survival.
▪ Risks for the resuscitator.
▪ BLS algorithm.
▪ Lateral safety position.
▪ Airway clearance algorithm.
▪ BLS algorithm with AED.
Formation:
▪ Theoretical sessions;
▪ Statements;

▪ Practical sessions.
Assessment:
Continuous Practical assessment (with all trainees in the classroom).
Approval: classification equal to or higher than 10 values.
General:
Acquire skills that allow him to correctly perform BLS maneuvers with the use of an External Automatic Defibrillator (AED), on a victim in cardiorespiratory arrest.
Specifics:
▪ Understand the concept of survival chain;
▪ Identify the potential risks for the resuscitator;
▪ Know how to correctly perform BLS maneuvers;
▪ To know the concept of AED;
▪ Identify the security rules inherent to the use of AEDs;
▪ Describe the steps and sequence of interventions with the AED;
▪ Know how to correctly execute the BLS algorithm using DAE.
At the end of the course, you will be issued:
▪ Certificate proving that the trainee completed the course with
achievement, mentioning the final grade obtained.
Note: The trainee who fails to take advantage of it may request the entity to
statement of attendance of the course, indicating the hours in which he was present.
