Show Venues Assistant Course

The ShowVenue Assistant Course intends that trainees apply in their professional activity knowledge and skills in the area of ​​the legislation of public shows and entertainment, regulations for the prevention and safety of the event, crowd management, communication with spectators, magazines , conflict management and self-defense.

The sector of surveillance and private security in Portugal is a sector in growing evolution, assuming an important economic dimension, both due to the number of authorized companies, and due to the technical, logistical and human resources involved, which cover around 40,000 jobs.

The Show Venue Assistant Courseaimed at:

• MAI Card holders, employees or unemployed wishing to update skills in the tasks related to the surveillance service in the private security activity;
• Employees of private security companies, who need to update, deepen or acquire knowledge.

Requirements:Minimum age: 18 years old | Educational qualification: minimum compulsory education according to age.

Module 1 | 10H –Legal regime for public entertainment and shows

Module 2 | 10H –  Prevention and safety regulations of the event

Module 3 | 10H –   Maintenance of a safe environment and crowd management

Module 4 | 10H – Management of the needs of the spectators. Information, guidance and advice

Module 5 | 10H– Contingency and emergency plans

Module 6 | 10H – Incident management and emergency procedures
