O/A Health and Geriatrics Assistant Course is the professional who assists in the provision of health care to users, in the collection and transport of biological samples, in the cleaning, hygiene and transport of clothes, materials, equipment and spaces, in the logistical and administrative support of the different units and services of health, under the guidance of the health professional.
The Professional Course of Health and Geriatrics Assistant Do It Better includes the teaching of techniques to support the elderly, manipulations and animation techniques, in addition to basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology. These themes will lead to an understanding of the importance of hygiene care, body mechanics, patient mobilization and transfer, activity practices, professional ethics and performance in multidisciplinary teams, in the context of homes, day centers and support teams domicile
This course is aimed at all those interested in pursuing a career in the field of Health and Geriatrics, in the care of patients.
Requirements:Minimum Age : 18 years old (If the trainee is a minor, an authorization from the Guardian of Education is required for integration in the course) | School Qualification: 9th grade or equivalent.

The professional course of Health and Geriatrics Assistanthas as main objective to qualify the trainees in the domain of the basic techniques of work in the area of the provision of the care to the users and the functioning of the different units and services of health.
Thus, it is intended that at the end of the course the trainees will be able to:
- Recognize the deontological and ethical principles for Health professionals and the National Health Network;
- Identify the basic principles to consider when providing health care for prevention and control and infections;
- To characterize the different types of care provided in Maternal and Child Health and Elderly Health services;
- Ensure hygiene, food and comfort for users;
- Apply basic first aid techniques;
- Identify issues related to mental health in general and mental health of the elderly person in particular;
- Collaborate dynamically in preventing the monotony, isolation and loneliness of the elderly.
