There are many causes of respiratory and circulatory failure in pediatrics, which can evolve suddenly or gradually and which, if not treated effectively in a timely manner, can lead to cardiorespiratory arrest.
Immediate intervention often leads to a greater likelihood of survival and this is only possible if those who witness the event have the capacity to ensure adequate procedures, in a timely manner.
In this sense, the present course intends to be a contribution to increase the number of citizens trained in this area.
Schedule:
Labor and / or post labor
Program:
▪ Chain of Survival.
▪ Risks for the resuscitator.
▪ BLS algorithm.
▪ Airway clearance algorithm.
General:
Acquire skills that allow you to correctly perform pediatric Basic Life Support maneuvers in situations of cardiorespiratory arrest.
Specifics:
▪ Understand the concept of survival chain and know its links;
▪ Identify the potential risks, both for the victim and the resuscitator;
▪ Know how to correctly perform Basic Life Support maneuvers;
▪ Know how and when to start and stop Basic Life Support maneuvers;
▪ Know how to identify situations of airway obstruction by a foreign body and perform clearing maneuvers
At the end of the course, you will be issued:
▪ Certificate proving that the trainee completed the course successfully, mentioning the final grade obtained.
Note: The trainee who does not succeed can ask the entity for a declaration of attendance of the course, indicating the hours in which he was present.
